VersaGrade was contracted for the sitework portion of a Brand New United Federal Credit Union in Northwest Reno. Due to marginal on-site soils (Clays with moderate expansion potential), VersaGrade was required to over-excavate and off-haul the marginal soils and import, place and compact structural fill materials for the foundation and exterior flatwork and paving areas. Other work included approx. 7,000 sf of structural pad construction (Type 2 Agg. Base and 10 Mil Vapor Barrier), underslab footings and pier excavations; 6” Fire Service from Main in high-traffic street, 2” domestic water and 1-1/4” irrigation services. Sewer system included 8” main, manholes, 4” service and grease interceptor. Storm Drain System included 12" & 15” storm drain piping, manholes, drain inlets and an engineered on-site underground drainage chamber.
The balance of utilities included electrical, communications and gas service. The balance of the sitework included over a thousand lineal feet of curbs and gutters, approx. 5,000 sf of exterior concrete flatwork and 22,000 sf of asphalt paving. A unique aspect of our scope of work included construction of 400 lf of Readi-Block retaining wall.
